Wall Text

This is the wall text I had next to my installation, Surface Layers: " I know my finger; I know its shape, its scale, I know the tiny rivulets that spiral on its surface.  Yet when my finger touches something hot, cold, rough or smooth, my finger's world expands as I absorb information about these other surfaces.  Despite the layers of skin that separate the cavities of my body from the outside world, these perceptions seep through.  I spend ages comparing how I internally experience the world to what I am externally led to believe a healthy human body should be.  Language, a seemingly objective form of communication, can be used to establ

SO.  HI. It's been a while. I've been working on an art major in school for the past two years, and this has been a major reason why I've not submitted here.  Mostly that the classes I've taken have not helped me produce anything I feel is finished or satisfied with.  I did put up some of the products of my studio sculpture class, and if I produce anything good from current or future classes I will add that as well.   I am still interested in comic book/graphic art, but it has definitely moved away from a Japanese influence.  I haven't found time or inspiration to work on this on my own, but I really do miss drawing and painting for myself

Otakon 2006!

0 min read
Will be at Otakon again this year, and will have an artists alley table for the first time. *___* If you're going please stop by and say hello - it's at table B01 which I think is near the front of the room. XD

its rather ridiculous how much I love all of your artwork heh... its all amazing, really. :D :D
where do you get your inspiration from??!
First of all: Thank you for all the fav's and comments! I'm totally enamored with the human body and have been drawing it since I was a baby, so I tend to look towards my own body and others for material. I tend to gravitate towards very expressive elements of the human form (in particular, faces, hands, and feet).
The materials I use also influence me - I generally grab whatever I have on hand at home - saran wrap, aluminum foil, what have you - and just start playing with them by burning, melting, ripping, sewing. When I find something that excites me I go with it!
Thanks very much for adding the mere shell of a man to your :+fav:s! It's very much appreciated!! :thanks:
Absolutely! It such a wonderful concept, and I'm a sucker for apple as symbols.
Hey..um... this is going to sound weird and all but... are you interested in doing a comic? I have a profile artist whose willing to draw a few sketches for me... but no one who is willing to do the comic. Um... Read my journal more info. Thanks.
It's me, Lucent~ I met yuou with Sanna at Otakon last year and this year too :3

Just thought I'd stop by and say hello; you've got some really fantastic artwork! :D
